Dr. Ruby Chia-Yun Yeh is a Taiwanese clarinetist and Selmer Competition prizewinner whose performances balance clarity, power, and presence.
She is the founder of the Lumi Trio, a clarinet–violin–piano ensemble rooted in legacy and driven by bold new sound. In 2022, they premiered Gonzalo Garrido-Lecca’s trio—commissioned as part of the Verdehr Trio’s 40-year tradition. As of today, it remains the latest addition to that historic legacy—a moment that bridged generations in American chamber music.
Ruby plays not just to impress, but to awaken — sound as identity, music as declaration. Her artistry blends presence and storytelling into sound that resonates deeply.
